Her 2012 play Assistance was sold to NBC as a television series to star Krysten Ritter. For four years after college graduation, Headland worked as assistant for film producer Harvey Weinstein. As playwright, she is best known for her Seven Deadly Sins cycle: The series includes Cinephillia (lust), Bachelorette (gluttony), Assistance (greed), Surfer Girl (sloth), Reverb (wrath), and The Accidental Blonde (envy). The seventh remains unannounced. Headland wrote and directed the 2012 film version of Bachelorette. Dramatists Play Service published Assistance in late 2013. |
