Eva Hendricks ('11)WEBSITE: https://www.charlybliss.com/ Eva began singing around the time she began talking and hasn't stopped since. As a young girl she performed in musical theater and in her early teens joined the Good News Gospel Choir. She quickly discovered her love of gospel and soul music and became a soloist under the direction of Chris Coogan. While in high school, Eva performed many lead roles with the prestigious Staples Players Theatre program. These roles included Maureen in Rent, Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors, Adelaide in Guys and Dolls, Rosemary in How To Succeed in Business without Really Trying, Carmen in Curtains and Kate in Brighton Beach Memoirs. Singing jingles professionally for Crushing Studios at the age of 16 introduced Eva to the world of recorded music. In addition to appearing on many demos, her voice can be heard on two television ads for the Hair Cuttery chain of salons as well as on commercials for the Cedar Fair Entertainment group of amusement parks. Eva began writing original songs while in high school which she recently recorded with her band, Sweet Nothing, at the Carriage House in Stamford. She is currently enrolled in the Clive Davis School of Recorded Music at New York University. She is the lead singer of the band Charly Bliss which features 3 other Staples grads including Dan Shure who had several leading roles during his time with Staples Players. Charly Bliss is a four-piece power pop band from Brooklyn, NY. Charly Bliss is Eva Hendricks (vocals and guitar), Spencer Fox (actor, vocals, guitar), Sam Hendricks (drums), and Dan Shure (vocals, bass).[1] |
